Activity 1

Objective:

Student will have to solve the puzzle using the various clues given to fill up the numbers 1 - 9 in the nine boxes.

Instructions:
  1. Draw the nine boxes above on a piece of paper.
  2. Refer to the eight clues a) to h) on the next slide.
  3. Clues with only numbers specify which box the numbers are placed in.
  4. Clues with numbers marked ‘X’ indicate that those numbers cannot be placed in the respective boxes.

Rules:
  • All nine boxes must be filled up with the numbers 1 - 9.
  • All clues must be used.

Activity 2

Objective:

Student will have to solve the puzzle using the various clues given to fill up the numbers 1 - 9 in the nine boxes.

Instructions:
  1. Draw the nine boxes above on a piece of paper.
  2. Refer to the four clues a) to d) on the next slide.
  3. Clues of different numbers found in different shaded boxes are given.
  4. Some of the numbers have to be worked out. E.g. (3-2) = 1.

Rules:
  • All nine boxes must be filled up with the numbers 1 - 9.
  • All clues must be used.

Activity 4 - Spelling Visualisation

Objective:

Student will have to guess the word in each of the eight levels correctly and pen them down on a paper.

Instructions:
  1. Each word consist of three to ten letters based on the difficulty of each level.
  2. Each time, one letter will randomly appear, and disappear after a few seconds.
  3. After all letters have appeared at least once, student will guess the word and write it down on a piece of paper.
  4. The answers will be revealed at the end of each level.
Rule:
  • Student is not allowed to record each letter as it appears, but can only write out the word in full when prompted.
